Dr. David Lingle
Artistic Director

Dr. David Lingle [Dave as he prefers to be called], is a native of Northern Wisconsin. He received his Masters in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Tulsa and a Doctoral Degree in Conducting from the University of Oklahoma. He has served as
the choral and orchestral director for the Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra, The Tulsa Bach Chorale and Orchestra and the Oklahoma Little Symphony/Signature Symphony.

Dave has also served as musical director for several theatre companies, including the opportunity to work with Tony-nominated Rebecca Luker in a performance of The Sound Of Music and Jamie Farr from M.A.S.H. in a production of Oliver.

Dave’s most recent position was as artistic Director of the Telluride Colorado Choral Society. His hectic schedule included their annual Winter Sing and Spring Sing Concerts, a Children’s Chorus concert series and a Masterworks series. He has worked with the Telluride Dance Academy in productions of the Misa Criolla and Appalachian Spring, while preparing choruses for the San Juan Symphony and the Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra. He has also worked with the Telluride repertory theatre, conducted musicals for the school and participated in the Chamber Music Festival.

Dave has served as the Artistic Director of the Alamo City Men’s Chorale since 2009, conducting both the full Chorale and the Alamo City Ensemble Singers (ACES).

Sharon Wallace
Office Manager

She handles the day to day operations of the ACMC and is the liaison between the chorale and the Office of Cultural Affairs. The ACMC is much more than a group of men who love to sing. The Chorale is active in the San Antonio community. With Sharon’s leadership the men have become involved in such activities as Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure, SAAF’s Walk for Life and many other such outreach programs. She is dedicated to serving the ACMC well! Thanks, Sharon!!!

Dr. Peter Gross
Accompanist

Peter graduated with honors from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin with a degree in Piano Performance. He continues to perform throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas. Peter serves as accompanist for both rehearsals and concerts. The Alamo City Men’s Chorale is proud to have the talents of Peter on our team. He is always there to help, guide, and instruct. This concert season is another opportunity to shine. Thanks, Peter!
